Our recommendation

Fostering strong relationships with higher education establishments – including offering internships, industrial placements and/or career guidance - provides a win-win for both employers and represents a valuable pool of potential new career entrants.

Whilst the number of graduates with a first degree a STEM subject remains strong, for a notable proportion (up to 6%, by subject area), they struggle to find their way into work.
