The demand for contractors has softened over the last three months particularly for developers.

This, coupled with the number of lay-offs and contractors finishing projects early we are seeing a higher number of contractors competing for fewer opportunities.

Encouragingly, management vacancies have increased over the last three months as we see an increased number of projects receiving budget approvals. This positive growth follows a drop as the UK economy became unpredictable and we are expecting this to have a favourable ripple effect in adjacent job roles.

Cyber Security remains the most in demand skill with an average market contract fill time of 11 days, which is 3 days higher than Q1 2023. We are seeing an average fill time of 7 days using our extensive talent pools and expertise of the market.
